PUBLIC RELATIONS

Masonry, worldwide, has lost one half of its members since 1980. Each of us can become active in reversing this trend.  Our Masonic Order is the finest that we know of and it can offer dramatic enrichment to any good mans life.  Application of the following steps and strategies by Masons will help ensure that more good men in our communities may have the opportunity to experience the rewards of participation in Freemasonry.

 Individual Initiatives

 1.        Wear a square and compass Masonic lapel pin.

 2.        Wear a square and compass Masonic ring.

 3.         Affix the Masonic square and compass decal to the rear of your vehicle.

4.         Affix a license plate with the Masonic square and compass to the front of your vehicle.  (Available from:  http://www.licenseplateshop.com/misc/misc.php ) (Other auto emblems available from  http://www.masonicexchange.com

5.         Create opportunities to identify yourself as a Mason and answer questions.

6.         Show your pride in being a Mason - especially at home.  Masonic public relations begin with family and friends.

 7.         Always be on the lookout for good men who might wish to become better men.

 8.         Familiarize yourself with the following brochures which are available from the Grand Lodge office and utilize them as appropriate:

 “Declaration of Principles of

The Grand Lodge of Alberta”

 “Information For Applicants”

“Have You Ever Considered

Becoming A Mason?”

“Friend To Friend -

Freemasonry In Alberta”

9.         Invite acquaintances to appropriate Masonic gatherings.

 10.       As appropriate, take a prospective applicant on a personal tour of your Lodge facility - and then to lunch.
